RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION

I would like to take this opportunity to WELCOME everyone back for another exciting new season. I also would like to THANK everyone who participated in our show at the Motor Sports Show at the NY State Fair Grounds the weekend of March 9th though the 11th. A real huge THANKS to Eric Brasser who helped in setting it up for us. He contacted Joe,who is in charge of setting up the show. I also appoligize to everyone who helped out for the shortness of notice. We let you all know as soon as we found out. The people who helped us out at the show were the following: Kathleen & Dave Heighton, Rod and Kathryn Welton,Ellen Currier,JP Wolfe and Eric Brasser. If I missed anyone please let me know. I believe that we had a few good perspective volunteers. we handed out about 40 applications,I know that is only half the battle. But as soon as they come back and I am told about them we will be following up on them with a phone call to set up a "date" with the person. This way they will know that they are needed. We again this year are in need of Flaggers and Medical people, also Paddock and Grid and Fire & Rescue. If anyone is in need of pamphlets let me know, we still have some left over.
I am also looking for some new pictures that we can use at the booth to attract some interests. Anyone that has VHS or DVD races that we can also show at the booth. We have both players that we can use. I am open for suggestions that are reasonable for us to use. Hopefullly this year our "booth" will be put in a place where we will be seen and asked about RSI and not for directions.
